Installation is quick and easy.
No soldering is needed.
Remove backglass and open backbox. Locate the Dot Matrix Controller board (usually located on the top right side).
Remove the top two mounting Phillips head screws from Dot Matrix Controller board (do not remove the bottom two screws or controller board). These screws are located just above J601 on the left top and U15 on the right top.
Replace the top two screws with the two aluminum ¾" extensions supplied with DMD-HVP board.
Inspect the DMD-HVD board, make sure the two plastic ¾" spacers are installed in the bottom corners.
Mount the DMD-HVP board (with the connectors to the bottom and the heat sinks up) to the two extensions using the two screws removed from the controller board. The plastic spacers on the bottom of the DMD-HVP board will rest between L1 and J606 on the left side and C4 and C7 on the right side. Make sure that all ribbon connectors are routed free and not pinched.
Remove the three Molex connectors from the bottom of the Dot Matrix Controller. These connectors are the J606 seven pin connector, the J604 eight pin connector and the J605 five pin connector.
Connect J606, J604 and J605 to the corresponding connectors on the DMD-HVP board. If necessary cut the tie wraps bundling the wire harnesses to allow adequate length to connect the connectors.
Connect the top seven pin connector of the DMD-HVP board to J606 using the supplied wiring harness.
The game is now ready to test.
Here is one installed in a Demolition Man pinball.
